Woke News Network Humiliated by New Report–Viewers are Ditching and Going to…

For years, CNN marketed itself as the gold standard in news—unbiased, factual, and trustworthy. But let’s be honest, that shiny veneer wore off long ago. For over a decade, the network has been more about parroting liberal talking points than delivering hard-hitting journalism. They’ve pushed progressive agendas, framed conservatives as villains, and pretended it was all objective reporting. And while they spent years convincing viewers that their slanted coverage was the truth, people are finally catching on. Spoiler alert: it’s not looking good for CNN.

BREAKING: Doctors Can't Believe She Used This To Erase Her Wrinkles...

What used to be a titan of cable news has turned into a punchline. Once known for shaping the 24-hour news cycle, CNN now spends more time shaping narratives than reporting facts. Critics—and let’s face it, anyone who’s ever tried to watch a full segment without cringing—have called out the network for being a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. But now, even their most loyal viewers seem to have had enough. Ratings are tanking. Their credibility is gone. And their so-called “trusted journalists” have become memes.

Ratings at CNN continue to crater and it has fallen behind the Food Network and the History Channel with primetime viewers. Even with the sort of breaking news like the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson that once defined and boosted the network, CNN continued to slump. The subsequent manhunt for Thompson’s killer didn’t help either, nor did the ongoing controversies of President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees or the then-looming regime change in Syria, Fox News reported.

Take a moment to process this: CNN’s primetime viewership is now lower than that of the Food Network. That’s right, more people are tuning in to watch someone bake cupcakes than to hear Anderson Cooper deliver the news. For the first week of December, CNN’s primetime audience averaged just 367,000 viewers. Compare that to Fox News, which drew 2.5 million viewers during the same period. CNN isn’t just losing to its competitors in the news game—it’s losing to TLC and Hallmark Mysteries. Who knew reruns of “Murder, She Baked” would be more captivating than Kaitlan Collins?

Things are even worse in the all-important 25-54 demographic. This group—key to advertisers because they actually buy things—has almost completely abandoned CNN. Only 67,000 viewers in this age range tuned in during primetime. To put that in perspective, more people probably accidentally flip past TV Land while looking for the remote. Even MTV and Comedy Central, networks that barely seem to know what they are anymore, are beating CNN in this category.

It’s not like CNN hasn’t had major news to cover. The shocking murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and the manhunt for his killer should’ve been the kind of story that boosted ratings. Instead, viewers still turned the channel. CNN’s once-significant Election Night coverage? A total disaster, with ratings so low they resembled the numbers from June 2001—when the network averaged just 268,000 viewers. Back then, they could blame it on a slow news month. What’s the excuse now?

Critics suggest CNN has alienated audiences on both the left and the right. The network’s relentless focus on taking down Donald Trump drove away conservative viewers years ago. But now, even liberals seem to be losing interest. Why? Because the network’s reporting feels more like a lecture than news. They’ve taken political bias to such an extreme that even loyal progressives can’t stomach it anymore. As one media analyst put it bluntly, “CNN is no longer significant.”

Adding to the chaos, CNN is cutting hundreds of jobs. Employees who spent years helping to build the network are being laid off in droves, leaving behind a newsroom filled with “sad and deeply frustrated” workers. But here’s the thing: when you alienate your audience and your advertisers, this is what happens.

CNN’s downfall is more than just bad ratings. It’s a sign of a broader problem in mainstream media. For years, networks like CNN got away with pushing agendas under the guise of journalism. They laughed at Trump supporters, painted conservatives as villains, and ignored stories that didn’t fit their narrative. But the joke’s on them now. People are waking up, and they’re changing the channel.

Maybe CNN could bounce back if it stopped treating news as a political weapon. But at this rate, it might be too late. For now, it seems the only place CNN is heading is further down the rankings—somewhere between reruns of Chopped and infomercials for anti-aging cream.
