As the state of Oregon continues to deal with destructive wildfires, a woman finally had enough when she spotted an alleged arsonist in her property.
A woman by the username of Kat Cast posted a video on social media about her encounter. On Saturday, the woman was driving in her car when she spotted a man coming out of her property and holding a box of matches. Angered, she got out of her car and took out her gun. The man immediately dropped to the ground.

As she pointed the weapon, the woman ordered, “Get on the floor, right now, face down! What are you doing on my property?” She continued, “Did you light anything on fire?” The man gave out a lame response by saying that he was just “passing through.”
Then, the woman questioned why he was holding matches. The arsonist responded that it was for smoking. She then asked whether he had cigarettes, and the man honestly said that he did not have one. The woman stood there, pointing the gun until the police arrived.

The woman also insisted that the incident had taken place, and there was “nothing fake” about the encounter. The woman explained that if she had to point the gun on someone to protect her family and neighborhood, she would do so. However, the user added a stern warning that the next time, “I will not be as nice as I was.”
The woman shared her community’s frustration over the increasing number of looting incidents as a result of the destructive wildfires that have ravaged across several other states, including California and Washington. In fact, thieves and looters used the tragedy as a good opportunity as other residents were evacuating their homes.
On the other hand, other local residents hung warning signs outside of their homes against criminals who attempted to rob their property while they vacated the area. In a report from local media outlet KIRO 7, people from nearby Clackamas County posted signs which read, “Looters will be shot.” Others also warned, “Home and armed, U loot, we shoot.”

Someone had even warned that looters will be given no mercy and that the homeowners will ensure their bodies would not be found. Some even wrote the words, “‘bang bang.”
