Tens of thousands of national guardsmen have descended on Washington, D.C. ahead of Wednesday’s Inauguration Day proceedings in which President-elect Joe Biden is set to be sworn in as the next President of the United States.
This comes after a overwhelmingly peaceful Stop the Steal protest on January 6th devolved into a criminal riot through the halls of Congress.

Of course, President Donald Trump was quick to condemn said violence and firmly told his supporters to go home peacefully and his supporters did exactly this.
He also called on the National Guard who set out for Washington, D.C. to quell the violence.
Remember, Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests raged through Washington D.C. this summer, including one incident in which President Donald Trump was rushed to the bunker of the White House as protesters attempted to siege it.
The Democrats literally condemned Trump for calling on the National Guard to respond to that widespread violence!
It was chaos, arson, looting, vandalism, and rage in several major American cities for weeks on end, causing billions in damages, dozens of lives lost, and dystopian unrest!
Yet this warranted tens of thousands of troops on the streets of Washington D.C. to swear in a president that we’re told fairly and legitimately earned the most votes of any president in U.S. history?
A man who barely left his basement or knew what state he was in for the whole of the campaign?!
Seriously?
One D.C. worker called out this incredulity in a video of the streets of the capital early in the morning.
He posed a very important question, as The Gateway Pundit reports: “why would someone need to put up such barriers if he legitimately won the election?”

Yeah, good question.
“This is what our intersections look like now,” the man explains in his video.
“If you need all this to protect your inauguration from the people, maybe the f***ing people didn’t f***ing elect you!” he declares.
Well, that certainly is a good point.
