A whole lot of Americans must have woken up to the news on Thursday with a bit of shock. After all, this is the first many of them have heard about Hunter Biden being involved in unethical, criminal activity. The mainstream media did everything in its power to shield Joe Biden’s son from scrutiny in the weeks leading up to the election, so we’re sure that many unsuspecting voters – if they ever heard anything at all – just wrote off the allegations as the sort of Fox News conspiratorial nonsense they’ve been told is commonplace on the right. Nothing to see here. Just Sean Hannity and Friends lying again.

Well, it turns out to be a little something more than that.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden said in a statement. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
The investigation may have something to do with the younger Biden’s involvement with Chinese nationals, which were recently highlighted by a Senate committee report.
“Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and the People’s Liberation Army,” said a report from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. “Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in cash flow.”
The report went on to note that Hunter Biden forged this relationship in 2015 when his father was sitting pretty in the Vice President’s office.
“Ye’s connections to the Communist government are extensive and Ye was also financially connected to Vice President Biden’s brother, James Biden,” the report said. “Thus, there exists a vast web of corporate connections and financial transactions between and among the Biden family and Chinese nationals.”
Oh, we’re sure there’s nothing to worry about. China is only our chief global competitor/antagonist, and Papa Biden is only about to be the President of the United States. Why should anyone be concerned?
“President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger,” the elder Biden’s transition team said in a statement.

We’ll see if the Justice Department has the integrity (or the independence) to continue this investigation after Daddy takes office. Either way, we’re sure the media will be glad to hide the truth from the American people.
