An intense reaction from a group of high school students to an LGBTQ Pride video shown in a math class sparked an online sensation this week.
The video, taken at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California, captures the moment classmates loudly express their discomfort as their teacher played a “Pride Month” video during the lesson.

Teacher Threatens Students with Saturday School Amidst Protests
In response to the students’ protests, the teacher sternly advised them to keep quiet, threatening Saturday school if they didn’t stop their clamor.
In a resolute response, the teacher who hasn’t been named asserts, “Hey, listen up, all of you! If you carry on with this inappropriate behavior, I’ll call in supervision. If I do, every last one of you will be attending Saturday school for [indiscernible]. Enough now, quit it.”

The video clip gained viral traction after a parent from the school presumably shared it on social media. Prominent conservative commentator Robby Starbuck picked it up, where it accumulated over 10 million views.
A local LGBTQ advocate, displeased by the students’ reaction, decided to share the complete video on social media. Another individual, who appears to be a local parent, claimed the video originated from the student news channel.
Allegations of Video Displayed in Classrooms Spark Controversy
The controversial video begins with a rainbow flag billowing in the wind, with the words “Pride Month” displayed on the screen.
It depicts two women embracing, their noses touching, amid other representations of LGBTQ couples. The video concludes with the message, “Don’t forget to love each other.”
The person who initially posted the video claimed it was displayed in all classes. Starbuck echoed this, stating some students informed him the video was indeed played in all classrooms.
Some 10th grade students came forward to tell me that this video was played in ALL classes that day, not just math class. They’re upset about it and want the school to refrain from playing videos like this.

The mayor of Huntington Beach, who is a Republican, has been a strong critic of Governor Gavin Newsom. A social media account named “Exposing Huntington Beach” criticized the mayor for sharing the video in a conservative Facebook group titled, “Informed Parents of California.”
