Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) may have found his Senate counterpart to force a congressional vote on the election in a Senator who will only be sworn in three days before Congress votes to certify it–Senator-elect from the same state, Tommy Tuberville.
A new video taken during a rally for the Senate runoff in Georgia suggests that Tuberville may challenge the results with Brooks–or at least that he knows something about someone who will.

“You see what’s coming. You’ve been reading about it in the House. We’re going to have to do it in the Senate,” Tuberville said in the video taken by liberal activist Lauren Windsor.

Tuberville considering joining election challenge
Tuberville’s campaign chairman also said earlier in the week that the senator-elect might back the Brooks effort.
“I think that he [Tuberville] and Ted Cruz are the two best candidates to do this,” Stan McDonald said during an interview on WVNN-radio in Huntsville on Tuesday. “I don’t know yet if or when he will do this. He’s very seriously considering it.”
McConnell urged Senate Republicans not to challenge the election results during a conference call with them on Monday, but Tuberville was not on that call.
“I think that there was encouragement on the phone for us to accept the result, as much as it’s not what we, you know, would have envisioned for the next four years, and to try to do what’s best for American people, which is to look forward,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) said after the call with McConnell.
The Hill contends that any congressional vote would fail because there are not enough votes in favor of it.
McConnell has accepted Biden as president-elect
McConnell congratulated Joe Biden on winning the Electoral College vote and referred to him as “president-elect” for the first time on Monday.
Numerous election challenges have been brought to the courts and have been rejected by judges. In general, it seems that the Trump team and their various witnesses do not have sufficient evidence that there was enough fraud to overturn enough votes in enough states to win.

President Donald Trump has refused to concede the election and has brought up a number of examples of apparent voter fraud in key states, including keeping poll watchers away from ballots, bring out “suitcases” of ballots in Georgia and counting them in the middle of the night, and systemic problems with software in Michigan Dominion voting machines that changed votes for Trump to votes for Biden using algorithms.
Trump has said that if Biden is declared president according to the Electoral College and inaugurated, he would step down.
