Last week, the House of Representatives impeached President Trump for the second time. The second impeachment arrived after Trump supporters mobbed the Capitol Hill in D.C., resulting in multiple deaths and congressmembers’ lives being put in danger.
Many Democrats and some Republicans stated that Trump bore responsibility for the events 11 days ago. Therefore, the House’s second impeachment of the 45th president contends that he “incited” an insurrection and hence committed a high crime.

The Republican Party on Trump
The displays on Capitol Hill 11 days ago have led to some Republicans souring against Trump. Leader McConnell has privately informed his associates that he’s finished with the 45th president; meanwhile, Sen. Ben Sasse, Rep. Liz Cheney, and other Republicans are openly faulting Trump for the mobbing.

Overall, the different perceptions of U.S. Capitol Hill riots and whether or not Trump bears culpability has fractured the GOP. Some supporters of the president maintain that he is not at fault whatsoever; although, even some of Trump’s fiercest allies, such as Leader Kevin McCarthy called to censure him, yet do not support impeachment.
