In yet another display of lawlessness, looters attacked the Ronald McDonald House in the Streeterville area of Chicago on Monday morning.

The facility provides housing to children and their families who are getting treatment at a hospital that is located nearby. The looters broke inside the facility where children and their families were sleeping. Several of the building windows were destroyed, and the main entrance had to be boarded up. The residents around the area also had to be placed on lockdown.
Lisa Mitchell of Ronald McDonald House gave a statement about the indecent. “We’re here for families at all times—whether there’s a pandemic or civil unrest, we need to make sure that we are here allowing families to get the rest they need while they have a child in the hospital seeking care, and so it’s so important that anything that might be going on outside, we maintain our care for families,” she said.
Fortunately, none of the children or anyone else staying inside the facility had been hurt by the attack. None of the kids also missed their appointments at the hospital. It was a good thing that the assailants did not set fire to the building, something that they normally do, or it would have caused a great deal more damage and even casualties. The rioting in the city was triggered when BLM provocateurs started spreading fake news that police shot down an unarmed man. In reality, the suspect was armed and shot at the police first, who responded and wounded him. The false news was used by BLM rioters to start trouble again in the city. Looters also took advantage of the confusion to attack targets throughout the city.

It was unclear if the looters who attacked the charity facility for children are aware of the nature of the building that they have attacked. It is possible that many of the vandals are just too ignorant to know what the nature of the Ronald McDonald House was. But it is also possible that they have targeted the facility while knowing full well what its purpose was. Their aim, after all, is to cause as much mayhem and confusion as possible.
