At precisely 12:00 PM today, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the next president of the United States. As of this morning, President Trump departed from the White House to visit Joint Base Andrews before heading down to Florida.
The outcome of the 2020 presidential election has not turned out the way that many conservatives wanted it to go. Many right-wing Americans hoped that President Trump would be gearing up for a second term this time, rather than departing from the White House.

Yesterday afternoon, the 45th president bid the nation farewell in a special address from the White House.
A Farewell Message from President Trump
On Tuesday, Trump spoke from the White House about his legacy as the country’s 45th president; in doing so, he also urged the American people to remember and carry on this legacy.
In the president’s almost-20-minute video, he discussed taking on the “hardest fights” and “tough battles.” Trump then explained that by pursuing the road less traveled, he stayed true to the tens of millions of Americans who elected him to lead the nation. Additional remarks from the 45th president centered around being an “outsider” and pushing the U.S. government to work on behalf of its citizens rather than itself.
"Four years ago, we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens.

Biden has vowed to unite the nation and bring people together; however, this is easier said than done. There are a plethora of reasons behind the deep divides that exist today; Biden also hasn’t helped matters by referring to senators of his opposing party as Neo-Nazis. Likewise, Democrats themselves continue to demonstrate zero interest in true unity with Republicans and Trump voters.
President Trump will not attend the inauguration of Joe Biden this afternoon. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, however, will be in attendance.
