Open Borders Would Invite More of “This” Element

A recent story, a couple of them, in fact, over the past several days, are examples of the kind of horror and evils that if left unchecked, can roam and go about freely. The idea of free borders would also allow those kinds of elements to enter and go about freely in the U.S., and that would invite more of what nobody wants.

In a perfect utopia, sort of but not exactly like what they picture on the Left, we would all live in a world of peace and harmony. Other countries would strive to find deals that benefit both sides. There would never be fights or wars, and we would be able to democratically work our way through disagreements and differences. In a perfect world we would be able to leave our car doors unlocked, our homes unprotected, and our borders unguarded.

Heck, in that world we wouldn’t care who came in and out of the country because in that world we would all trust and care for one another. But that’s not reality, just like the idea of open borders isn’t reality. What is a reality, however, is that we have very little guarding the gateway between the U.S. and Mexico. That also leaves us with a much darker and troublesome reality that comes with illegal immigration.

One recent story shared some of that darkness and those troubles in a report of an arrest involving six illegals accused of heinous crimes. According to our story, these six men – Esler Hugo Rivera, 33-years-old, 28-year-old Rolando Corado Gonzalez, 40-year-old Avelino Sarceno-Sarceno, 37-year-old Ember Rivera, 28-year-old Noe Bautista-Martinez and 31-year-old Evis Amabilio Garcia-Rivera – were arrested on charges of 2nd-degree sexual assault.

The victim, an underage girl from Wisconsin, reportedly had escaped her captors and called for help. Unfortunately, this is an all too familiar story of another illegal being charged or found guilty of sexual crimes or other serious offenses.

Another story, only a week earlier, is one of many that discusses the aftermath of what happens when our borders are left unprotected and this kind of element can come and go freely. This time though, it was the worst-case scenario. This time, the person was deported and convicted child-sex offender, Felix Barron. According to this story, “Barron, a 43-year-old illegal alien, allegedly murdered 36-year-old Veneranda Martinez — the mother of his children — in front of their three kids in Austin, Texas, on December 6, before ultimately shooting and killing himself. According to police, Barron shot Martinez multiple times while their three children sat and watched.”

Open borders? So we can more easily than we already do allow this type of person and this type of evil into our homeland? We all know that the open borders idea that some on the Left have spoken about is simply a tactical ploy. It is nothing more than an effort to curry favor with voters, because does anyone in their right mind want to leave the door open for people like these men and these criminals?

The cold hard truth is that we have enough bad elements in the U.S. without needing to invite more. Yet, somehow, even after deportations, increased border security, and improved entry and citizenship procedures, we still have people getting in. People that we wouldn’t invite and that we don’t want.

Would a wall have prevented those six men from getting in, capturing that young underage girl, and attempting to put her in a sex trafficking ring? Would it have prevented that sad murder-suicide or the crimes that Barron committed? The truth is we don’t know, but what we do know is that what we are doing right now isn’t enough. Without a wall, it isn’t exactly an open border, but it is awfully close to that unlocked car door or unprotected home, it is vulnerable.

The problem is, we do lock our car doors. We do lock up when we leave, maybe even lock the deadbolt or arm the alarm. What we don’t do, is leave these points of entry open and unguarded. So why would we leave the front door to America wide open too? We wouldn’t, right?
