On Monday, President Donald Trump ripped media establishments after they had criticized his golf outings as a “mortal sin” during the Memorial Day weekend while ignoring former President Barack Obama’s frequent golf trips.
After weeks of dealing with the coronavirus outbreak, Trump wrote, “The Fake & Totally Corrupt News makes it sound like a mortal sin–I knew this would happen!” The President noted that he had only spent a few hours to relax and characterized the media as “sick with hatred and dishonesty.” Trump added that media outlets were “truly deranged.”

Some stories about the fact that in order to get outside and perhaps, even a little exercise, I played golf over the weekend. The Fake & Totally Corrupt News makes it sound like a mortal sin - I knew this would happen! What they don’t say is that it was my first golf in almost...

The President explained that media outlets failed to report that it was his first time to go on a golfing trip in almost three months, presumably due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He honestly believed that even if he waited after his term to play golf, the media would continue to sensationalize his private activities.
The last time Trump went golfing was on March 9, at his golf course in Palm Beach.
....3 months and, if I waited 3 years, they would do their usual “hit” pieces anyway. They are sick with hatred and dishonesty. They are truly deranged! They don’t mention Sleepy Joe’s poor work ethic, or all of the time Obama spent on the golf course, often flying to....

The President also pointed out the glaring media bias between him and former President Barack Obama. Trump recalled how Obama had used the taxpayer’s money to pay his expense on his frequent golfing trips to Hawaii. “What did that do to the so-called Carbon Footprint?” Trump slapped back.
....Hawaii in a big, fully loaded 747, to play. What did that do to the so-called Carbon Footprint? He also played moments after the brutal killing by ISIS of a wonderful young man. Totally inappropriate - and it was me who shattered 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. I was left a MESS!

In addition, Trump also brought up Obama’s infamous 2014 golf trip, when the former US President chose to play golf right after American journalist James Foley was beheaded by Islamic State. Moreover, Trump also wrote that during his term as Vice President, presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden spent his time “relaxing” and making “shady deals” with other foreign countries.
...vacationing, relaxing & making shady deals with other countries, & that Barack was always playing golf, doing much of his traveling in a fume spewing 747 to play golf in Hawaii - Once even teeing off immediately after announcing the gruesome death of a great young man by ISIS!

Even before his presidency, Trump had repeatedly aired his criticisms over Obama’s hobby, especially when the former President went on his golfing trip during the Ebola crisis.
The President’s tweets came as a response after Biden released an ad which condemned Trump’s decision to spend a leisurely weekend despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In the said footage, Trump was playing golf alongside a graph of the increasing COVID-19 death toll. “Sleepy Joe” wrote that while 100,000 Americans have lost their lives, and millions were out of work, the President still found the time to play golf.

Recently, Obama came under fire after he was spotted playing golf at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia. The former’ President’s weekend trip came as a stark contrast to his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama’s reminder to residents of Washington, DC, warning them to stay at home unless they needed to perform essential activities.
