One might question the wisdom of patterning the U.S. after a state that is currently losing more residents every year than it’s taking in, but according to the Los Angeles Times, that’s exactly what President Joe Biden intends to do. Apparently impressed with the Golden State’s extraordinary population of illegal aliens, its intensely stratified class system that sees some of the richest people in the world stepping over the homeless on their way to their San Francisco offices, and a criminal justice system that is geared towards protecting literally everyone but law-abiding citizens, Biden is set to “Make America California Again.”

“The incoming administration is embracing some of California’s most pioneering initiatives, such as programs for rapidly decarbonizing the electricity grid and tuition-free college, as well as more obscure, incremental policies,” reports the L.A. Times. “Also on the new White House agenda will be measures to ban mandatory arbitration clauses in employee contracts and a revival of a ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program aimed at providing incentives to get polluting cars off the road — signature California policies.
“Even some ideas that haven’t worked out so well in California are on the national agenda now,” the report continues. “Biden is a fierce proponent of high-speed rail, as well as new protections for gig economy workers that California voters diluted in November.”
Hopefully, we can adopt California’s bang-up approach to forest fires as well!
“California is not just about pushing the envelope, it is about tearing it apart,” said former state Senate leader Kevin de León. “The state is full of disruptors and malcontents who are impatient and have no problem challenging the status quo.”
You may remember de Leon as the son of illegal immigrants who used his power in state government to make it illegal for California businesses to report undocumented workers to the proper authorities. He also worked tirelessly to expand sanctuary policies across the state that made it impossible for local police to cooperate with federal immigration officers. We’re sure that Biden is extremely interested in spreading those policies across the country.
Much is also being made of California’s supposed excellence in the field of climate change mitigation. Their push to go green has undoubtedly played a role in the recent rolling blackouts experienced by the state – another widespread feature we can probably look forward to as a result of Biden’s climate agenda.

In recent comments to the press, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) mentioned that Democrats are going to overreach so badly over the next two years that regaining control of government will be a cinch for Republicans. He may have a point, but let’s not underestimate the amount of damage this president and his Congress can do in that amount of time. It ain’t gonna be pretty.
