Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman has drawn ire from some on the left due to his increasingly cordial relationship with President Donald Trump.

Yet in a move which may have stunned some of his colleagues, Fetterman recently said that he will vote against confirming two of Trump's nominees.

Fetterman "will be voting NO" on Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

According to the Independent, Fetterman announced his opposition to confirming Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a social media post on Friday.

Gabbard has been nominated to serve as director of national intelligence (DNI) while Kennedy is Trump's choice to head up the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

"I have met with most of the cabinet nominees and have carefully watched their confirmation hearings," the Pennsylvania lawmaker wrote.

"After considering what’s at stake, I have voted against moving forward to the confirmation of Ms. Gabbard and Mr. Kennedy, and will be voting NO on their confirmations," he added.

Fetterman voted to confirm Pam Bondi as attorney general despite criticism

That revelation came less than a week after Fetterman joined with Republicans to support Attorney General Pam Bondi.

"She's qualified, and it's not my ideal pick, but it turns out [former Attorney General] Merrick Garland wasn't anyone's ideal one either," Newsweek quoted him as saying.

Newsweek observed that Fetterman's decision to break ranks with others in his party did not go unnoticed by critics, including progressive podcast host Dash Dobrofsky.

"John Fetterman just voted to confirm Pam Bondi—an election denier—as America's next attorney general," Dobrofsky complained in a social media post.

"He was the only Democrat to support her nomination. What is happening to Fetterman? Very disappointing," the pundit asserted.

Jack Cocchiarella was another left-wing personality who spoke up, writing, "John Fetterman just voted to confirm Pam Bondi. The election denier. The election denier who will let Trump break the law."

"The election denier who will illegitimately prosecute Democrats," Cocchiarella lamented before demanding, "What the F--K is wrong with John Fetterman?"
