If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it a thousand times: Donald Trump doesn’t have the right temperament to be president. Well, if Trump isn’t “presidential” enough to satisfy the pundits, then what can you say about Joe Biden? Trump, as far as we can recall, has never gone off the rails the way we’ve seen Biden do on multiple occasions throughout the 2020 primaries. And we’re not sure we’ve ever seen any national politician lose their crap the way Biden did when confronted by a (very reasonable, very polite) undecided voter in New Hampton, Iowa on Thursday.
The man, who has since told reporters that he’s a registered Independent, asked a simple and relevant question of Biden.

“We all know Trump has been messing around in Ukraine over there holding their foreign aid for them to come up saying they are going to investigate you. We all know about that,” the voter said. “But you, on the other hand, sent your son over there to get a job and work for a gas company that he had no experience with gas or nothing in order to get access for the president. So you are selling access to the president just like he was.”
Biden went off.
“You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that,” Biden said.
“I see it on the TV,” the man said.
“You see it on the TV,” Biden scoffed. “No, I know you do.”
And then…Biden got weird.
“And by the way, I’m not sedentary,” he said, apropos of nothing. “I get up…look, the reason I’m running is because I’ve been around a long time, and I know more than most people know, and I can get things done. That’s why I’m running. You want to check my shape on let’s do push-ups together, let’s run, let’s do whatever you want to do, number one.”
And they say TRUMP goes off on tangents? In what sense was this voter questioning Biden’s physical fitness?
“Number two, no one has said my son did anything wrong, and I did not on any occasion—”
“I didn’t say you were doing anything wrong,” the man said.
“You said I set my son up to work at an oil company. Isn’t that want you said? Get your words straight, jack,” Biden said, growing menacing in his tone.
“That’s what I hear on MSNBC.”
“You don’t hear that on MSNBC,” Biden said.
“The hell I do,” the man said, growing understandably irritated with Biden calling his integrity into question.
“Look, I’m not going to get in an argument with you.”
The voter said, “I don’t want to either.”
“Well yeah you do,” Biden sniped. “But look, fat, here’s the deal—”
We suppose this was just one of Biden’s verbal slip-ups (which are far more common than we should expect from a man who is gunning to be our head of state), but really? He just called the dude “fat”? What is wrong with this guy?
“It looks like you don’t have any more backbone than Trump does,” the man concluded.

Biden then, bizarrely, told the man that he was too “old” to vote for him. Uh. Have you looked in the mirror lately, Joe?
If Biden can’t handle the heat from a random registered voter in Iowa, how is he going to handle a debate with President Trump? If we were a Democrat voter right now, we’d be very nervous about this guy being the frontrunner. This has all the hallmarks of a slow-motion disaster.
