This may or may not be true but is there really another rational explanation here? The impression is out there and Joe Biden only has himself to blame for creating it. Their decision to recalculate all of the distribution of monoclonal antibody treatment supplies was always sure to cause issues.
By recalculating the distribution, they are trying to create a more equitable environment among the states. This does not take urgency into account, though. This is a weird decision to make when it comes to medical supplies under any circumstance. We do not think that this is a coincidence. Biden wants the southern states to suffer. Politico has more:
BREAKING: This Keeps Your Blood Sugar Below 100 - Even When You're Eating Sweets!
“The Biden administration is imposing new limits on states’ ability to access to Covid-19 antibody treatments amid rising demand from GOP governors who have relied on the drug as a primary weapon against the virus.
Federal health officials plan to allocate specific amounts to each state under the new approach, in an effort to more evenly distribute the 150,000 doses that the government makes available each week.
The approach is likely to cut into shipments to GOP-led states in the Southeast that have made the pricey antibody-drug a central part of their pandemic strategy, while simultaneously spurning mask mandates and other restrictions. That threatens to heighten tensions between the Biden administration and governors like Florida’s Ron DeSantis, who have emerged as vocal opponents of the federal Covid-19 response.”
Biden can pretend that this is equitable but it is strange, no matter how you slice it. Monoclonal antibody treatment is a lifesaver. It cannot be distributed in a “fair” way, state needs should be taken into account. If we had to guess, we would have to assume that this is a form of retribution.
Old Sleepy Joe already showed his hand with this one when he complained about the governors who were standing in his way. He wants more vaccine mandates and governors like Ron DeSantis are doing their best to put a stop to them. Now, he is looking to strike back at them. It’s childish, to say the least. Politico has also taken notice of this:
“President Joe Biden has sharply criticized DeSantis and others for resisting efforts to encourage mask-wearing and ramp up vaccinations, vowing in a speech last week that if “governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way.”
Still, until recently, the administration had shipped the antibody treatments to states on an as-needed basis — with top health officials in early August going as far as encouraging those battling the Delta surge to seek even more supply.”
Need and demand should always be the main determining factors when it comes time to distribute medical supplies. Perhaps this decision is a coincidence but it does not feel that way. It’s hard to view it in that manner when Biden was just talking tough about the situation last week. It’s hard to believe that he has an altruistic reason for making this decision.

Biden is also trying his best to distract everyone from the fiasco that is taking place in Afghanistan right now. Meanwhile, this decision flies in the face of his latest quote on the matter. “Tonight, I’m announcing we will increase the average pace of shipment across the country of free monoclonal antibody treatments by another 50 percent,” said Biden. Bear in mind that he said this on September 9th!
That’s what makes all of this seem so fishy. The pledge is still up on the White House website, too. This only makes Biden look like an even bigger liar than he already is. This is not a proper response to shortage conditions, this is a shot across the bow of Republican governors. Anyone who does not view it this way is deluding themselves and they need to realize what his true agenda is.
