Elizabeth Warren Getting Advice from Hillary Clinton

For Hillary Clinton, the 2016 presidential election was an unmitigated disaster. Since her stinging defeat to President Donald J. Trump, the former first lady has struggled mightily to get over it and move on.

Even though she won’t ever be president, she’s apparently not willing to give up her on her political aspirations just yet. According to the source, Clinton is advising one 2020 presidential candidate through “substantial contact.”

So, who is the lucky, or unlucky depending on how one looks at it, presidential contender? Well, she’s none other than the far-left U.S. Senator Trump affectionately refers to as Pocahontas.

Left-leaning NBC reported that Clinton and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have been contacting each other steadily since the Senator launched her presidential bid in February of this year. But, according to the liberal media outlet, no one knows how frequently the twosome communicate because neither side wishes to talk about the communication.

Perhaps, Warren, who’s soared in the polls recently, just doesn’t want anyone to know she’s taking advice from someone who suffered such an embarrassing loss in 2016.

NBC noted, “It’s hard to know exactly how many times they’ve reached out to each other — or precisely what they’ve discussed — in part because neither camp wants to reveal much of anything about their interaction and in part because they have each other’s phone numbers, and there are many ways for two high-powered politicians to communicate that don’t involve their staffs.”

The progressive news platform went on to reveal, “One source was aware of just one additional call between Warren and Clinton since then. But a person who is close to Clinton said the contact has been substantial enough to merit attention, describing a conversation between the two as seemingly recent because it was ‘front of mind’ for her.”

Reportedly the former Secretary of State privately met with several Democrats earlier this year before the 2020 Democratic presidential race took shape. Besides Warren, Clinton advised U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA). At the time, the two current Senators reportedly wanted Clinton’s support and endorsement.

A supporter of Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and reparations for African American descendants of slaves, Warren may well encounter difficulty securing the moderate Democrat vote. Because these individuals largely backed Clinton in 2016, Warren might benefit from having the former first lady on board. And, a Democratic strategist informed NBC that the failed 2016 presidential candidate is “impressed” with Warren’s campaign effort thus far.

On the Monday broadcast of Fox News’ “The Five,” co-host Dana Perino said she thinks Warren is displaying strength by asking Clinton for advice. Perino stated that the Massachusetts Senator was one of the more liberal members of Congress to endorse the former first lady’s presidential candidacy against Clinton’s 2016 foe Sanders.

“The Five” co-host remarked, “I think this is a sign of strength by Elizabeth Warren. She’s acting and talking like a general election candidate.”

Perino also maintained that Warren’s 2016 endorsement of Clinton now appears more like a strategic maneuver than it seemed then. “The Five” co-host commented, “She decided to back Hillary Clinton in 2016 over Bernie Sanders because, I think… she knows she’s got that left side locked up.”

Another of “The Five” co-hosts, Juan Williams, said, “Hillary Clinton could have a big impact on 2020.”

During a recent Fox News’ “Hemmer Time” podcast, author Mollie Hemmingway stated that she thinks Warren was running “an incredibly smart campaign.” Hemmingway maintained that the Massachusetts Senator might look more attractive to the growing number of single women who dictate the party’s policies.

The author also insisted Warren would be a better presidential candidate than Clinton was in 2016. However, she wasn’t sure if the Massachusetts Senator would be good enough to best Trump.

Hemmingway told Fox News host Bill Hemmer, “Hillary Clinton — people underestimated just how much legitimate baggage she had going back decades. People had built up a really long list of reasons for why they didn’t like Hillary Clinton.”

While Warren may want Clinton in her tent, she may not wish to crisscross the country with the former first lady by her side if she becomes the Democratic presidential nominee. After all, Clinton’s lackluster campaigning was partly to blame for her 2016 collapse on election night.

But, if the former Secretary of State is still as bitter over her defeat as she appears to be, she might be more than willing to do whatever it takes to unseat the man who buried her lofty, presidential aspirations.
