'The prize of their BS case was the list. The actors were secondary....'
An explosive report in the Gateway Pundit said that a recently divulged spying operation involving the US Postal Service‘s monitoring of conservative social media may rely on a list of donors stolen from the We Build the Wall project.
The story broke Wednesday that an “elite police force” within the USPS was tasked with monitoring inflammatory posts and reporting them to government agencies—likely raising valid questions about whether it could be a flagrant violation of the First Amendment.

The acknowledgement from the Department of Homeland Security came courtesy of a leaked government bulletin, marked “law enforcement sensitive,” which sounded the alarm on planned protests that were supposed to occur on March 20.
“Analysts with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) monitored significant activity regarding planned protests,” said the March 16 bulletin.
“Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts,” it continued.
The Gateway Pundit noted that the deep-state surveillance program singled out right-wing groups like the Proud Boys but made no mention of radical leftist groups that have been engaged in sustained rioting since last summer.
It then made a logical connection between the iCOP program and another USPIS operation to take down the privately funded We Build the Wall project.
In the days before the Republican National Convention, USPIS had arrested top project leaders, including former Trump advisor Steve Bannon and Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage, a triple-amputee war hero.
“Their charges were they were building a wall on their own to help protect the country because the Democrats were blocking every effort by President Trump to build a wall on the border at that time,” said the Gateway Pundit.
“The USPIS accused these Americans of absconding donations for their own pleasure,” it continued. “At the time and still today these charges look targeted and timed to embarrass President Trump before the 2020 Republican Convention.”
The disgruntled postal workers made no bones about showing their disdain for Kolfage, arriving with 15 officers to haul him away in front of his wife and young children.
“They dragged him to a car and forced him to pull himself into it,” the Gateway Pundit reported.
“They didn’t allow him to grab his prosthetic legs or provide a vehicle that would allow him to use his wheelchair,” it continued. “In the rain in front of his wife and two young children, Kolfage carried himself to the car and pulled himself into it.”
After neutralizing the threat that Kolfage posed to their operation, the postmen then went after their true target: the We Build the Wall donor lists stored on his computers with the names of millions of conservative supporters.
“Of course, the USPIS claims this was necessary for their case,” said the Pundit. “But what are the odds that they took this list of conservative names and are now spying on those same individuals who gave to the We Build the Wall project? The prize of their BS case was the list. The actors were secondary.”
Trump would go on to pardon both Kolfage and Bannon, meaning there will be no trial to shed light on the secretive spy ring overseen by the otherwise insolvent and nearly defunct mail-delivery service.

The Gateway Pundit cautioned that its linking of the two conspiracies was mere speculation based on circumstantial evidence.
However, “We do know the USPIS is spying and we do know they are targeting conservatives,” it said. “This is a very, very big deal. It now appears the USPIS officials are the real criminals.”
