We have to imagine that if you handed the problems plaguing Minneapolis to a group of 25 semi-bright children, they would come up with better solutions than the ones currently being offered by the City Council. We’re quite sure, for instance, that these children would not look at the unprecedented surge in violent crime sweeping the city in 2020 and think, “Hmm, we need to defund the police!” We’re not even sure intelligent monkeys or dolphins would arrive at such a conclusion. No, to get to this kind of idiocy, you either have to travel far down the food chain…or put your fate into the hands of the modern American leftist.
BREAKING: Doctors Can't Believe She Used This To Erase Her Wrinkles...
From The Daily Wire:
The Democrat-controlled Minneapolis City Council voted unanimously on Thursday to cut millions of dollars in funding from the Minneapolis Police Department’s budget next year after failing to abolish the police department altogether earlier this year following the death of George Floyd.
The Minneapolis City Council voted to “shift nearly $8 million from next year’s police budget to other city services as part of an effort to ‘transform’ public safety in the city,” The Washington Post reported. “The controversial plan was approved unanimously as part of the city’s 2021 budget.”
Hoo boy.
Throughout this debacle, Mayor Jacob Frey, a Democrat, has been a voice of reason, urging the City Council to abandon this “irresponsible” bill. Strangely enough, though, he’s suddenly on board with the proposal to take millions of dollars away from the cops. Indeed, he praised the council for “removing language that would have permanently shrunk the size of the force by about 130 officers.”
Well, Mayor Frey, what do you think is going to be the end result of diverting $8 million to other city offices? What do you think is going to be the end result of a city government that has said, loudly and clearly, that they are NOT on the side of the police and they will NOT have their backs. Who is going to want to work for the Minneapolis Police Department under these circumstances? The best cops? Or the ones who literally have no other options?
And how does that translate to better relations between the cops and the community?

According to the Associated Press, there have been double the number of gunshot victims in Minneapolis this year compared with 2019. Carjackings are up 331%. There have been more than 1,100 more violent crimes in 2020 than there were at this point last year.
And the answer is FEWER POLICE??
Make no mistake, this is wokeness in action. Get ready, because we’re about to see a lot more of it.
