For some time, the White House warned Americans that gun control was coming. Aides for the Biden administration repeatedly spoke about how the 46th president had previously “taken on” the National Rifle Association (NRA) during stints in his political career.
The March 2021 shootings in Georgia and Colorado gave the left perfect ammunition to increase their calls for gun control in America. Both of these tragedies also caused more Democrats to pressure the Biden administration to act on gun control.

Biden’s Executive Orders on Gun Control
Yesterday, this is precisely what happened. Americans finally learned from the White House that President Biden won’t wait for Congress to pass gun control laws. Instead, the Democrat president will use executive action to achieve his ends.
Later today, the 46th president will use his executive order powers to pass a series of gun control restrictions. These restrictions shall involve “red flag” rules for states to follow, reductions of “ghost guns,” and having more guns subjected to the rules of the National Firearms Act.

These actions could require law-abiding citizens to surrender lawful property, and push states to expand gun confiscation orders.
Biden also nominated a gun control lobbyist to head @ATFHQ.@NRA is ready to fight.
These executive orders are, by no means, a replacement for congressional action on gun control. In fact, the White House made very clear on Wednesday that the Biden administration still expects Congress to act on passing gun control legislation.
The executive orders to come from President Biden later today are merely designed to speed up the process.
Backlash from the GOP
On Wednesday, conservatives and Republicans responded to news of Biden’s impending actions on gun control. The right made very clear that they will not stand by and idly watch the 46th president trample over Second Amendment rights and the rights of gun owners.
Republican Attorney Generals, get ready to fight the Biden executive orders on gun control all the way! I’ll be doing my part from the House! Let’s ensure we stop this tyrant.

GOP attorney generals are also being called upon to push back against Biden’s executive actions to come later today. President Biden has already found himself at odds with Republican state attorney generals; this notably happened when the Democrat president brought ruin to the Keystone XL pipeline and refused to rescind the damning executive order.
Republicans came out in droves on Wednesday; they vowed not to let the Biden administration get away with tyrannical, anti-Second Amendment executive actions.
