Biden Nuked 11,000 Jobs on His First Day in Office

For all those not afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome or the constant need to divide America further, we all knew Joe Biden in the office of the president would be a terrible thing. I mean, can we honestly say he’s done much good for Americans in all his 50 years in public office?

No, I think not.

But even more terrifying than that is the fact that he has continually pandered to the liberal left in recent days and months – actually for a few years now. Basically, ever since he chose to run for the president’s office, he and his policies have moved ever leftward, even though he was once seen as a much more moderate and almost conservative Democrat.

Why? To get votes and the support he needed to get to the highest office in the land, of course.

And now that he’s made it there, he has to keep his promises to radicals or risk being ousted far before the end of his first term.

Promise number one: make sure abortions continue in the U.S. at a tireless rate. Promise number two: get rid of Trump’s immigration policies and open our borders.

And last but certainly not least, promise number three: give into climate change radicalism.

All of these were put before our new president on day one in office.

But while one is not necessarily any more disturbing than the others, the latter could be the beginning of our economy’s ruination.

And its effects are already being felt.

On Wednesday, just hours after his inauguration, an executive order was put on Biden’s desk to cancel a permit for T.C. Energy to run the Keystone XL Pipeline. Now, if you haven’t heard of this project, it’s been in the works for about ten years and seeks to run a crude oil pipeline from Alberta, Canada, to Nebraska, a distance of over 1,200 miles.

Per a report from Fox Business, the $9 billion pipeline would send the U.S. about 830,000 barrels of crude oil per day, decreasing America’s reliance on not so friendly nations like Russia, Venezuela, and those in the Middle East.

Additionally, it would add about 11,000 jobs to the American economy, with 8,000 of those being union jobs, according to an October news release from T.C. about the projected construction of the pipeline.

Of course, since the project was proposed, those on the political left have opposed it, claiming that such a venture would further deteriorate our climate and cause environmental problems. When it was put before Obama back in 2015, he was quick to reject it as well.

However, when Trump was given use of the Oval Office, the project was allowed to begin, and since the construction of the pipeline began last year, a whopping 300 miles have been finished.

Of course, Biden, with a quick flick of his pen, just changed that, killing thousands of jobs.

But it’s not only our economy that the decision has hurt. In addition, the United States’ relationship with our neighbor to the north, Canada, has been damaged.

As liberal as Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is, he supported the pipeline and Trump’s decision to build it. After all, the pipeline would have been a good investment and economic boost for America and Canadians, who are also hurting from the pandemic and suffering from a less than average economic recession.

Alberta’s Premier Jason Kenney is particularly vexed with Biden’s cancellation of the permit. In a statement recently made, he said that he was “deeply concerned” about the project’s quash.

He added, “Doing so would kill jobs on both sides of the border, weaken the critically important Canada-U.S. relationship, and undermine U.S. national security by making the United States more dependent on OPEC oil imports in the future.”

And Kenney is not the only one upset by the move.

Citizens United, a conservative group, called it “the opposite of creation” and noted that it was a “bad start, Biden, doing the bidding of the radical left – not what the American people signed up for.”

Of course, Biden says that none of this will matter, or at least not when it comes to the economy, as he has said he will help create over 10 million “clean” energy jobs at some point in the future. The when and how is a bit sketchy, though.

And in the meantime, Americans need jobs that are already lacking.

Talk about a blow to the American public.
