Biden Has a Plan to Keep Trump Out of Office

With midterms now officially over, or at least most of them and the issues that plagued them, it’s time to turn our attention to 2024 already. While it might seem a while away for most of us, when it comes to campaigning for the highest office in the land, there’s no such thing as being too early.

And given that the upcoming election will likely have a very widespread field on both sides of the aisle, each candidate will need all the help they can get.

Looking toward that election, the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not former President Donald Trump will run again. He’s hinted at it here and there for literally years now, ever since Democrat Joe Biden was announced in 2020 as the 46t Commander in Chief.

But as you know, no formal or official announcement has been made. And for good reason.

While I said there is no time early enough to begin campaigning, Trump’s situation is slightly unusual.

For starters, Trump is one of the most controversial political figures to be seen in the US in decades. As a result, people usually either love or hate him, with very little ground in between. And that means, for a midterm election such as just took place, such associations can either make or break a candidate’s chances.

The fear, no doubt, was that announcing another presidential run by Trump would have possibly hurt the GOP’s chances of flipping Democratic congressional seats and retaking either, if not both, houses.

And to be fair, it probably would have.

Besides, given Trump’s extreme popularity in some circles, it would have only given opponents or those against him that much more time to dig up dirt and make plans to ensure that he wouldn’t get back into the Oval Office.

At any rate, Trump was wise to postpone any such announcement. However, we won’t have to wait much longer, according to Trump himself.

If he does choose to run, well, you can be sure there will be no small amount of talk on the subject. And those on the Democrat side will be surrounding how it might be possible to prevent him from running for any real length of time.

In fact, Biden himself has said as much in recent days.

According to him, he already has a plan in place actually.

During a routine press conference recently, the sitting failure of a president was asked what, if any, plans had been formulated to ensure that Trump and his supposedly violent inciting ways weren’t allowed back into the White House.

The reporter noted that, at present, the movement Trump began during his first presidential campaign, MAGA, is “still very strong,” meaning it remains quite popular and has no small number of followers.

Biden’s forced chuckle and first response of “oh yeah?” seemed to indicate that he didn’t believe Trump was all that well-liked by the American people. Then again, this is the same man who no doubt thinks over 8 million people voted for him in 2020.

But I digress…

Biden then continued, struggling as usual to make any real sense, but finally managed to spit out that he had a plan.

“If he does run, making sure he, under legitimate efforts of the Constitution, does not become the next president again.”

The president then quickly moved to another question, effectively changing the subject.

As with anything Biden says anymore, there is a very real question about what he meant by it. Seeing as Biden didn’t explain himself, we’ll just have to take a few guesses.

First and foremost comes from suggestions that more than a few other Democrats have made since early 2021, shortly following what many have called an insurrection incited by Trump himself.

As the leftist publication Liberty Voice states, Trump’s “incitement of violence… prevents him from running for office” according to the 14th Amendment. The outlet then goes on to directly quote that Amendment, which says that anyone who has “engaged in insurrection” or aided those who have, is no longer allowed to hold any kind of government office.

Of course, the problem with this plan is that Trump didn’t incite anything – as not one, but two impeachment hearings have decided.

But that doesn’t mean the Dems will stop trying anytime soon.
